![]() After the search is finished, a list with available options is shown. If the movie that you look for has a name tag, the search box will be automatically populated. ![]() ![]() Once you choose a movie, you can enter its name on the search box and MetaX will access different online movie databases in order to provide you with its corresponding information. You can also drag multiple files at the same time to the program interface but some features will be disabled so you need to choose only one video in order to start adding information. This procedure will start the program and your movie will be automatically loaded. To start tagging a movie, you can simply drag and drop the video file over the MetaX icon from the dock. MetaX is helpful meta-data tagger for movies that is really easy to use. Still, you've got nothing to lose if you decide to give it a shot on your Mac and see how it works. Two things bother me about this tool: it lacks an option to quickly export your catalog info and the fact that you need to pay to manage your TV show collection. You also have access to a built-in search tool which helps you immediately locate the film entry you need. For example, Movie Explorer creates individual categories for the films based on their genre (horror, comedy, etc.). The more information you provide about the imported movies, the better this program will organize your collection. Instead, it analyzes your movie collection and automatically sorts it into various groups (HD, Stereoscopic, etc.). This tool won't help you keep a wishlist or manage info about the videos you borrow to other people. The utility is compatible with various video formats, comes with an efficient search tool, and helps you quickly find missing information about your films. Movie Explorer is the type of program that comes in handy if you're dealing with a large video collection and wish to easily catalog it.
